Our vision for 2030

Big, measurable promises — kept through partnership.

5M African lives reached in healthcare, with Project CURE — 150 containers of medical supplies.
5M Africans empowered through education — 70% of them young women and girls — with Thunderbird at ASU.
10× The Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni network, mobilised for civic leadership.
HEEL Healthcare, Education, Entrepreneurship & Leadership — the four building blocks of our work.

Our why

One person in the room. Then a movement.

Our founder, Alpha Muluh, has a natural gift for connecting people and a deep passion for service. Over years he built a network across every background, class and industry — serving on boards, opening doors, transforming lives.

But there was a problem. In almost every room of opportunity, Alpha was the only immigrant African present. The Excellence & Impact Foundation exists to change that — to share the richness of those relationships, showcase the depth of African talent, and build communities that are stronger for everyone.

How we create impact

Four focus areas. One promise.

We don’t build parallel systems. We adopt the Lean–Arbitrage–Model–Partnership approach: leverage trusted networks as a force multiplier for the impact we create.

Healthcare

Delivering life-saving medical supplies across the continent through our partnership with Project CURE.

Education

Opening access to world-class learning with Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU.

Entrepreneurship

Advisory, connections and visibility for purpose-driven founders building shared prosperity.

Leadership

Growing a 10× network of Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni for effective civic engagement.

The Excellence & Impact Award Night

A night to honour ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Like the Grammys and the Oscars, our members cast the votes — so honorees are recognised by their peers.

Every fall in Phoenix, the community gathers to celebrate resilience, sacrifice and service — with unforgettable moments, inspiring speeches, and the crowning of the year’s honorees.
