Leaving Cameroon was one of the toughest decisions I ever made.
I was a top strategic sales partner at MTN-Cameroon, thriving in a community-centric culture where every decision mattered to all.
With our family-first approach, my parents insisted I seek better opportunities in the US, challenge myself, and take a shot at the much-coveted American dream.
Arriving in Maryland, the cultural shift was stark.
It was both liberating and daunting to transition from the communal lifestyle of Cameroon to the individualistic pace of American life.
But as I navigated these new waters, I found my footing by leveraging my inherent skills in a fresh corporate landscape.
I carved a niche in the health and wellness industry, co-founding Cadens Health & Wellness in Arizona.
Here, I learned the lessons of bootstrapping, networking outside of your comfort zone and building valuable networks and support systems, navigating the work and life balance that drains us, blending lessons from my past with my aspirations.
The challenges continued—pursuing an advanced degree in law school while raising four young children and dealing with a personal life crisis, —but each step reinforced my growth mindset and passion for connecting people and solving problems.
This led me to establish the Excellence and Impact Foundation.
