We uplift immigrant Africans — and the communities they build.
The Excellence & Impact Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Phoenix, Arizona. We open access to opportunity, bridge cultural distance, and celebrate the people already making a difference.
Our why
One person in the room. Then a movement.
Our founder, Alpha Muluh, has a natural gift for connecting people and a deep passion for service. Over years he built a network across every background, class and industry — serving on community boards, holding memberships in impactful organisations, opening doors.
But there was a major problem: in almost every room of opportunity and resources, Alpha was the only immigrant African present. He saw the need for a platform to share the richness of those relationships, showcase the depth of African talent, and build resilient communities that benefit everyone.

How we work — the LAMP model. Lean–Arbitrage–Model–Partnership. We don’t build parallel systems. We leverage trusted existing networks as a force multiplier, collaborating with like-minded immigrant Africans and organisations in the U.S. and connecting with positive change-makers across Africa.
Our vision for 2030
Big, measurable promises.
- Healthcare: improve the lives of 5 million Africans through our partnership with Project CURE — 150 containers of life-saving medical supplies delivered to the continent.
- Education: empower and uplift 5 million Africans — at least 70% of them young women and girls — with Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.
- Leadership: grow our network of Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni tenfold for effective civic engagement and public management.
