Many African immigrants in the U.S. struggle to balance their heritage with the pace of American life. It’s a juggle that can feel isolating and confusing.
You might feel lost amid unfamiliar social norms. Perhaps you’re diluting your culture to fit in. Or maybe you’re doubting your ability to stay true to yourself. These challenges shape your personal and professional life deeply — but finding a community that understands can change everything.
I’m part of that change through my work with the Mandela Washington Fellowship, where we mentor bright young leaders from Africa, equipping them with leadership skills and the mindset shift to thrive as we move into the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Arizona State University invited me to share my leadership framework with the Fellows as they concluded their fellowship — focusing on mindset and breaking free from limiting beliefs.
Our Excellence & Impact Awards offer more than recognition. They’re a chance to connect, grow, and celebrate our dual heritage — a gathering of minds that understand your journey and want to support your growth.
