The Power of Curiosity

I am addicted to learning.

I love challenging myself.

That’s why I’m constantly diving into new things.

I ended up taking a Real Estate course, even though I had no desire to work in the field.

I’ve always been interested in the topic, but it wasn’t until I started going deep down the rabbit hole that I discovered how it really works.

With one of our  businesses, Cadens Health & Wellness, we own group homes, so I wanted to be informed about the investments and associated risks of home ownership way beyond just making mortgage payments and HOA dues.

Understanding property taxes, insurance, and the nuances of the buying process was eye-opening.

I couldn’t believe how naive people are (myself included, before taking the class!) about buying a home—about interest rates, hidden fees, etc.

I also was seriously overweight about 10 years ago, very sloppy, lacked energy and ambition, then I decided to take Personal Trainer Certification class to learn the subtleties of nutrition, exercise and how to live a balanced healthy life while enjoying the things I love.

Most people follow the adrenaline rush and want to sign without knowing the details.

There were so many things I thought I knew, and I quickly realized I knew nothing about them.

Everything I learn, whether related to healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, or leadership, I give forward to the community to help them grow and expand.

I recognize not everyone shares my love of learning.

But if I can learn something to better myself and my life and pay it forward to my community, well, that’s worth it.
