The 2024 recipients — George Chi, Dr. Godwin Gwei, Chief Emmanuel Epie, Dr. Sam Ashu, Ken Akoh Arrey and Chief Dr. Stephen Fomeche — are among the original immigrant African settlers in Arizona who paved the way for others to relocate and find success. The ripple effects of their leadership, mentorship and guidance have helped countless newcomers thrive as entrepreneurs, professionals and students, contributing to a diverse and vibrant Arizona.
