Karen Walch

Author, Professor Emeritus, and negotiations expert.

Karen’s research and coaching specializations are in the social-interaction skills of negotiation, partnership and inclusion. Her facilitation and coaching focus on developing partnership mindsets and behaviors for maximum personal and social impact.

Her work centers on how to nurture and accelerate human capacity for creativity and engagement under disruption and uncertainty. Karen has developed and led leadership, cross-cultural and negotiation courses in over 40 countries, addressing both the structural forces of disruption and the disturbance it creates for the collective and human nervous system.

Past participants appreciate her blend of practical and academic expertise, and her patience and presence as a guide.

Karen received a Ph.D. in international political economy and conflict resolution at the University of Wisconsin while working in business, political and legal settings. She is an Emeritus professor at Thunderbird School of Global Management and a member of the Inclusive Leadership Institute, the International Coaching Federation, and the Applied Improv Network.
