Barney Mbigha
Finance leader, CFA, and founder of a foundation that built a hospital in Douala, Cameroon.
Barney Mbigha is a Senior Vice President at Capital Group with 15 years of finance-industry experience, responsible for business development with public pensions across the East Coast. Before Capital, he was an investment strategist at Vanguard, and earlier a regional private banker at Wells Fargo.
Barney is also the Founder and CEO of the Peace & Comfort Heart / Medical Foundation, a philanthropic organization established to honour his parents. Through it, he has built a modern hospital in Douala, Cameroon, providing a wide range of healthcare services to the local community and beyond. He sits on the board of the Master of Science in Finance program at Florida International University.
He holds an MBA in Finance from Grand Canyon University and a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Buea, Cameroon, where he graduated as the best student in his class. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
